- The Dragons’ Apprentice: free UP for Uni business and enterprise event on Thursday 1st June 2017 – sign up here!
- The University of Portsmouth’s *Graduate Show takes place on Friday 2nd June 2017 from 5-9pm.
The Graduate Show includes architecture, art and design, creative technologies, media and performing arts exhibitions as well as live performances, film and animation screenings, and demonstrations of pioneering digital technologies.
*Graduate Show is not an UP for Uni event (it is organised by the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries). Find out more about the Graduate Show here and sign up to attend here (it’s free and members of the public are welcome).
UP for Uni events are free and for secondary school age participants. They usually last for a day (or part of a day) and take place out of school time e.g. during school holidays or after school. Our events are normally held at the University of Portsmouth or nearby locations, although we sometimes organise trips further afield and occasionally run other special projects. Parents or carers do not usually participate in events.
When you sign up to an event, a consent form will be emailed to your parents. Please ask them to complete it as soon as possible so that we can confirm your place. Confirmation of your place and all the details are usually sent out at least a week before each event.
We try to include as many participants as possible but sometimes space and numbers are limited. If an event is oversubscribed we will give priority to older participants (as younger ones have a greater chance of attending future workshops), those who attend a non fee-paying school in Portsmouth, or who live in an area with low participation in higher education*.
If you have any questions, please get in touch through our contact page, email email@example.com or call 023 9284 6214.
*You can use this tool to check higher education participation in your area.
Please note: We also work with local teachers and offer lots of opportunities for schools and colleges to visit the University of Portsmouth. If you would like more information, please go to: http://www.port.ac.uk/recruitment-and-outreach/
